Tezel and Jikaria Congratulate New GUSA President and VP-Elect

Washington, D.C. – Early Friday morning, the GUSA election commission announced Joe Luther (COL '16) and Connor Rohan (COL '16) as the winners of the 2015 GUSA Executive Election.

GUSA Vice President Omika Jikaria (SFS’15) offered her congratulations to the newly elected President and Vice President-elect. “I am excited to see what Joe and Connor will bring to GUSA in the coming year, and I am confident that Georgetown students’ interests are in good hands” Jikaria said.

“Representing Georgetown students as the GUSA President has been a great honor and responsibility,” said GUSA President Trevor Tezel (SFS’15), “I am proud to offer my congratulations to Joe and Connor, and am hopeful that they will continue GUSA’s legacy of fighting for students’ rights and improving Georgetown for generations to come.”

Tezel and Jikaria’s last day in office will be March 20, 2015. Luther and Rohan will be officially sworn in on March 21, 2015.
