GUSA is proud to announce our Hoya of the Week, SFS senior Kyle Zhu.
Kyle has worked continuously over the last three years to give back to the Georgetown community. He is an Eagle Scout and has taken to heart the pledge of leaving this world better than he found it. Kyle co-coordinated a Boy Scouts project that brought Georgetown students together with Boy Scouts in Southeast D.C. to work on scouting initiatives.
Kyle is also an active member of Alpha Phi Omega, Georgetown’s co-ed service fraternity. He is the leader of the pledging program for APO and during his tenure has made many substantive changes to the pledging process to make it better for all members. He is also the president of the SFS Academic Council. In this regard, he has worked to improve relations between the deans, SFS professors and SFS students. Kyle is truly dedicated to bettering the Georgetown community.
In addition to his remarkable service, Kyle is also on the executive board of WGTB. He is the director of DJ services for Georgetown’s radio station. He is also on the executive board for Georgetown’s Student Group Union, which is dedicated to addressing the needs of Georgetown’s student organizations, as the volunteer organization representative. His role in SGU exemplifies his dedication to bettering the community.
